Chicago (December 14, 2011) -- A powerful line-up that includes a Grammy Award-winning musician promises to make the 31st annual Chicago Music Awards one of the most exciting to date. Taking place on Dr. Martin Luther King’s birthday Sunday, January 15, 2012, a quartet of MCs – J. Niice from B96, Frankie Robinson of Power92 FM, Saran Dunmore of NBC5 Chicago and Bluesman Frank Pellegrino of Kingston Mines - will share hosting duties, keeping things lively and interesting for the star-studded celebration of Chicago music and musicians.

The event kicks off at 5:30 pm with red carpet arrival hosted by Matt McGill of WVON Radio, nominee J. Silva, and Issues & Artists host Joyce Renee Walker followed by a VIP Reception at 6 pm. The Chicago Emerging Star Finale takes place at 7 pm. The awards ceremony officially begins at 8 pm at The Club located at 4829 W. 77th Street (76th St & Cicero Ave) directly across from Ford City Mall in Chicago (Burbank).
